Magnetic Particle Products

Magnetic Particle testing is used to reveal surface and near-surface discontinuities such as cracks and inclusions that in most cases could not be detected by visual inspection. The technique, limited to ferromagnetic materials, utilizes fluorescent particles that concentrate themselves at surface discontinuities and glow under ultraviolet illumination.

S-5000 "3-D" Multi-Functional Magnetic Particle System

The S-5000 series "3-D" Multi-Functional inspection system is patented and state-of-the-art. Our systems have become a standard in military and commercial applications. These systems increase test reliability while reducing costs dramatically. Multiple step operations are reduced to one or two steps. Some features of the S-5000:

DA-400 Contour Probe®

The DA-400 Contour Probe® is a portable, self-contained instrument designed to produce a magnetic field on or within ferro-magnetic materials.

The selective AC and pulsed DC functions are built into a single reliable instrument. The AC mode produces an intense AC field for detection of surface defects and demagnetizing after inspection. The DC mode produces an intense pulsed DC field for detection of some sub-surface defects.
